Most soundbars in this range slap a "Dolby Atmos" sticker on the box and call it a day. The QS700F has dedicated up-firing drivers that physically bounce sound off your ceiling. You hear helicopters pass overhead in movies. Rain falls from above, not from in front of you. The 3.1.2 configuration means three front channels, a dedicated center for dialogue, and two height channels doing the overhead work.
