The EOS R100 camera features a 24.1-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and DIGIC 8 image processor. With a sensor much larger than most smartphones, this camera can capture images with a natural bokeh effect for stunning background blur, vibrant colors, and low noise. The images remain beautiful even when enlarged, and fine details are reproduced with clarity.

The EOS R100 camera takes advantage of its sensor size to capture high-sensitivity images with low noise that capture the atmosphere, even in low-light conditions. This allows you to take photos using fast shutter speeds to minimize shaking and subject blur.

EOS R100 Dual pixel CMOS autofocus with eye detection

The dual pixel CMOS autofocus* allows you to achieve quick and precise focusing, helping you capture the desired shot at the exact moment the event occurs. The EOS R100 camera offers an extensive focusing area that covers up to approximately 88% horizontally and 100% vertically of the image area. The image is divided into 143 autofocus zones in automatic selection mode. With the EOS R100 camera, you can quickly and easily capture your subject using the automatic eye detection autofocus, enabling you to take photos even when the subject is at a distance. Eye detection autofocus can also be used when the subject's entire body is in the frame to lock focus on the eyes at a distance.

EOS R100 High-definition video sequences

With the 24.1-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, the EOS R100 can record high-quality 4K video at up to 24 frames per second or full-resolution HD video at up to 60 frames per second. When paired with a range of RF lenses, you can capture video sequences with blurred backgrounds, in low-light conditions, or employing various techniques that would be challenging to achieve with a smartphone.

EOS R100 Accurate Electronic Viewfinder

The EOS R100 camera features a high-precision 0.39-inch OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) electronic viewfinder with approximately 2.36 million dots, displaying a clear image and comprehensive shooting data. The electronic viewfinder is designed to provide a bright, sharp, and colorful field of view over nearly the entire subject area being photographed.
