IPX3-Rated: Real Weather Protection, Not Marketing Talk

IPX3 means the NS-AW592 is tested against water spray from any angle up to 60 degrees. That covers rain, sleet, sprinkler overspray, and that surprise snowstorm in April that Quebec loves to throw at you. The cabinet is also UV-resistant, so the finish won't crack or fade after a couple summers in direct sunlight.

We've had customers leave these mounted on lakeside docks in the Laurentians through full winters. They come back in spring sounding exactly the same.

6.5-Inch Woofer With Serious Low-End Authority

The jump from a 5-inch driver to a 6.5-inch driver makes a bigger difference outdoors than you'd think. Sound dissipates fast in open air, and that extra cone area moves more air. The NS-AW592 reaches down to 55 Hz, which means you actually feel bass notes when you're sitting on the deck.

The 1-inch fluid-cooled soft dome tweeter handles the high end without distortion, even when you're pushing the volume for a big gathering. Crossover sits at 5 kHz for a smooth transition between drivers. 88 dB sensitivity means a 50-watt receiver gets them going nicely, and they can handle up to 150 watts peak if you want to fill a larger space.

Mount Them Anywhere, Aim Them Everywhere

The integrated bracket adjusts in multiple directions. Under a soffit, on a pole, on the side of a garage. Once the bracket is screwed in, you swivel the speaker to aim sound exactly at your seating area. All mounting hardware comes in the box.

At 6 ohms impedance, the NS-AW592 pairs with most AV receivers. If you're running a multi-zone setup, these are ideal for Zone 2 or Zone 3 outdoor duty. One receiver, wired connections, zero signal drops. That's the advantage of passive speakers over Bluetooth: reliability.
